Marketing and Community Engagement Lead

We have an opening for a Marketing and Community Engagement Lead position to cover for a Maternity leave (Contract).
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of digital marketing, website development, SEO/SEM, social media tools and applications, digital collateral and online advertising.

A marketing and community engagement lead will be responsible for:
- Overseeing a small team
- Planning all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, emails, social media, & campaigns
- Developing and designing layouts of communications such as presentations, newsletters, event support materials and advertising materials
- Coordinating logistics and marketing collateral for conferences and trade shows
- Generating, editing, and publishing engaging contents to blogs, press releases, social media and websites to attract traffic
- Managing and designing marketing promotions and campaigns to develop brand awareness
- Evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitors data and emerging technologies to launch new products
- Collaborating with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are implemented on newly developed products and services
- Recommending changes to website content, linking and other factors to improve customer experience and ensure brand consistency
- Overseeing social media accounts, press releases, and blogs
- Monitoring brand reputation through social media and google analytics
- Designing social media strategy to align with the company goals
- Staying current with new technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Excellent problem solving, creative thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong networking skills and relationship building ability
- Able to prioritize and work within a limited budget
Requirements:
- Degree in marketing, communications or similar field preferred
- 2+ years of experience overseeing a Marketing Department
- Experience in digital marketing, online promotions and campaigns
- Experience utilizing Google Analytics, social analytics, and social media channels
- Experience in project management
- Knowledge of content marketing principles and SEO/SEM
