Wolters Kluwer Canada deploys Software as a Service (SaaS) applications in a geo-dispersed private cloud Hyper-V environment meeting rigorous compliance and high availability requirements
Wolters Kluwer (WK) Canada was looking to outsource the hosting of several key software applications to conserve its cash as well as its IT resources. WK was attracted to Canadian Web Hosting because it could deliver key compliance programs and had the business agility to build a solution specific to WK Canada’s apps. This included hosting private cloud environments in geographically dispersed locations like Vancouver and Toronto.
WK Canada did its due diligence on Canadian Web Hosting, ensuring that it provided a high-level of security, enterprise-class uptime, and high level customer support. They also relied on their strategic relationship with key team members at Canadian Web Hosting to design a business case and solution that met key fiscal goals for WK Canada.
WK Canada started with highly available Hyper-V servers with Canadian Web Hosting during the initial phase and moved onto dedicated Microsoft Hyper-V clusters as the apps were certified in the environment. As part of the solution, Canadian Web Hosting has played an active management role including planning, testing and deploying mission-critical security hardware and connectivity between Vancouver and Toronto. The set-up gives WK complete control over its systems without incurring the high cost of purchasing and maintaining dedicated hardware independently. Relying on Canadian Web Hosting’s industry experience and expertise, WK Canada is able to concentrate on its core business.
