Hi Everybody,

This is Dave Knight of The Duck Shoot Blog.

I apologise to all visitors arriving here to find The Duck Shoot has been shot down. I was in the process of moving some of my sites including TDS to a new home in Canada.

The reasons for doing this were varied and I won't bore you with them but dissatisfaction with HostICan.com was NOT one of them. In fact I wasn't cancelling my HostICan account but was to use it to park a bunch of domains I have for sale. I have now changed my mind, more on that later.

I have been with Canadian Web Hosting for a couple of months hosting my CollectibleBitz Blog and I am more than satisfied. The most important thing for me, along with uptime of course, is customer service. Not just the 'Knowledge Base', 'Tutorials', 'Forum' and 'Support Ticket System' but being able to speak to real people when you've tried everything and your head is spinning so much you can't 'tell your arse from your elbow'

My verdict for Canadian Web Hosting is superb. My verdict for HostICan; PATHETIC! So you now who I blame for The Duck Shoot Blog being unavailable.

I don't know yet whether the database is recoverable and although most of my posts are backed up on my hard drive the unique way Blogs work means I don't know whether I will be able to reinstate it as it was.

This is exactly why I always recommend you guys when people ask me about web hosting! As always, you guys answer my help requests quickly with meaningful information. Other hosts I've used in the past have had terrible support.
